Four weeks ago today...

Four weeks ago today we buried our little William. Our darling son, only two and a half years old, and with still so much left to do and to give in this world.

Today I create a blog in his memory. Little by little I will add what I can, when I am able. Photos, anecdotes, anything to remember him by. And I hope you will add your photos and stories about William too. Let this be our testament to the memory of our beautiful son.

  1. Nicole,
I think this is a perfect idea. I also believe that you should consider getting a written journal published. This could work alongside the blog where other parents who are grieving can find solace in knowing there are others out there who are in shock caused by a life-changing tragedy. The book could have your story, include feedback and support from family and friends as well as addresses of bereavement and counseling departments/networks who can offer advice/guidance. Last but not least a list of charities where other parents can get involved with. A whole lot of good is going to come out of this. I am certain of this.

  2. Nicole I also believe that this is a really good idea. I remember his bright funny little face. He was such a dynamic happy chap..I still giggle thinking about when he unloaded all the toys we had hired to "demonstrate" how they all worked!...I only met him twice, but his charm and charisma is burned on my memory. It makes me smile when I think of him. Richard thinks so too.

We embrace you and your family...We will continue to write. You will NOT face this alone....so many people, including us, care about you. xxxxxxx

  3. I remember seeing you in the Shoe shop in Beziers and William & Izzy were on the toy car ride at the front of the shop, he was all wrapped up in his winter coat and hat. He wanted to stay on the ride and would have stayed on it all day ! I don't know how you got him off. I also remember you trying to breastfeed him discreetly at the Vide Grenier in Pouzolles ! His chubby, happy face was always a pleasure to see so different from the tiny french babies, your little blond angel. xxx
